I've been a freelance journalist since 2021. I have been a part-time writer/editor at Deutsche Welle since then, and my written work has appeared in Technology Networks, Migraine Science Collaborative, Pain Research Forum, Seisma Magazine, and morte. I have appeared as a science correspondent on Deutsche Welle news and as a podcast host on Migraine Science Collaborative.
I earned a PhD in neuroscience from University College London in 2016, and from 2016 to 2020 I was a postdoc at the Max Delbruck Centre in Berlin. I was leading author on multiple research papers and reviews on my topic of touch and pain, including in Nature Neuroscience and Neuron, and was part of Nobel Prize winning research.
I also write fiction, and I'm currently writing a novel titled Lab Life.
